Thoughts on Eternity

and they are just thoughts...

Let us suppose just for a moment that eternity is nothing more than the presence of God. If this is the case let us attribute greater rewards to an increased appreciation for that presence. That is to say the treasures we store in heaven are relational and are reaped by a deeper and deeper respect for communion with God. If this idea is tied in with the idea of being presented to Christ as a unified pure and spotless bride, it will bring a community aspect to light.

At this point holiness (walking in the spirit) is no longer about how many treasures and blessings we can accumulate but it becomes getting to God better to reap the fullest rewards of eternity. It also removes some of the selfish motivations of service and benevolence.

Of course there is a personal one on one relationship with the father that must be fostered and should not be trivialized. But think of how Jesus responded to ministry; he spent time with the father to be filled, so he could return and be emptied, and this cycle continued through his entire ministry.

I know that I don't appreciate the communal presence of the father nearly enough. I enjoy it, I pursue it, but I know there is something deeper there to find. Deep enough to be greater than any imagination of heaven I have and be the only thing I look forward to.

On the corner

...of market and main
sits a record store, a coffee shop, and there's a park across the way
every Thursday night, some one else takes the stage
on the corner of, market and main

I posted a demo of one of my new songs on myspace
specifically for those who are from the 8th greatest town to live in.

This song is really for two reason one is for Kyle, and his family because it is a positive reflection on the time I spent living over the fields with Chris. And two for the Sinclair family who will always have some of "my heart in Potsdam".

It's just a demo and I cant seem to get rid of some of the ambient noise but I was kind of excited about posting it.

It might even make her
feel a little less home sick
tell me what you think.
