Thy Kingdom come & will be done

Two friends were discussing the importance relationships in the kingdom. One soon to be married friend took the position put the marriage relationship on a pedastool as a representation of Christ and the Church. The other felt no single relationship should have such a priority that it alienates other relationships in order to function effectivly.

Both of these men were right respectively. A wife is like a church and should be cherished, but just as the fathers love goes out to all the world so to must our relationships streach out of the home. The kingdom is about relationships, a marriage should be a partnership that reaches the ends of the earth not a union that is confined by a picket fence.

That is not to say ministy can't happen in the home through the raising of children or otherwise. However, if the "world" is not being affected, it would seem the home is deficient. The partnership of a marriage is such a potential blessing and opportunity to change the lives of others and must be treated as such. At Gods Pace, By Gods Grace.
