Adjusting to sothern living, its like living in an epsode of the waltons. Yall.

Leaving for Romania on Fri. for a week. It's always a good idea to skip the first week of classes at a new school to play elec. guitar in a foreign country.

Please keep our teem in prayer.

No new website, the programmers computer couldn't read the designers disk and now the writer is very bummed.

Welcome to Lee

So since my last entry i have spent 35 hours in a car over 6 days and 13 states.
Rochester to Madrid to NH to Boston to NYC to Charlotte to LEE.
The weather here is extremely hot and everything moves very slowly.

As far as the new site is concerned the disk got damaaged in all the travel and the programmer didn't have the right software to translate the information. So you will have to deal with the same old same for a little while untill I fuguire out something new.

I leave on friday for Romania with zions call I will be working at a childrens camp and doing street evangalism. I am going as the elec. guitarist, please pray for the trip and the team.

Exciting things in the days to come, I will be back to the old format of funny stuff soon enough I promise no more of this mushy stuff.

Hello Hello

You say goodbye and I say Hello, I don't know why I say goodbye, I'll say hello.

I am leaving Rochester momentarily it has been a good season and now it is done. I will begin my week long trek across the NE, stoping here and there to see the ones I love before I go so far away. A stop in Madrid, and in NH, then Boston, and NYC, down through DC and int NC and eventually to my new home in Cleveland.

The new Site is done and will be up by monday I hope.

See you soon on this side or the other.

Almost Done

Well 2 more days in rochester and then thats it. No more Garbage Plates, no more taking showers at the YMCA, no more getting lost while trying to find wal*mart, no more parties on the roof, no more independant films at "the little'", no more gelato. Soon my whole life will change... again with the moving, and finding a church, and new friends. Exciting eh?

No as far as the website is concerned the design is pretty much finished. I designed the concept in Illustrator and Mark O. put a few finishing touches on it. The logo still needs work and "vintagelanemusic.com" is still under construction but the morrisless home page and most of the ML network is complete.

For those of you who showed interest in becoming a part of the ML network staff please send an email to mlstaff@gmail.com. I need your name, email address, position you are applying for, and a sample of your work or brief resume'. If accepted you will recieve an email with all the usernames and passwords you will need to navigate the network.

As well as some of the finer details of the operation.

thank you,
j.

Personality gets you in the door ...

Being an air head gets you out.

It seems to be a running theme in my life these days. My pearsonality is likeable, approachable, etc. unfortunately my inate lack of common sense seems to get me in more trouble than my charm can get me out of. I never cease to be amased at how what in my mind seems to be a completely logical thought pattern turns into a fiascoesque disaster again and again. It's like when you spill somesthing on your shirt and then start trying to wipe it off and instead you just make it worse. Eighyt Seven percent of my actions over the last 2 months have seem to just make it worse. It's one thing when you do it on your own time, forgetting to turn your lights of, locking your keys in the car, loosing this and that. But when this behavour carries over into your professional life, it makes for unhappy enmployers.

I seem to do a lot of appologizing lately, and well the thing about apologies is that after a while no matter how sincere they become trite. There is no excuse for me to be like this and it seems the harder I try to make things better, the more things I screw up along the way. For example...

Seven Degrees of ____
I am incharge of deposits and withdrawels for work purposes. I decided instead of making a deposit every nite of what we made and withdrawing what we needed the next day, I would make one big deposit every few days. (Mistake number one, bad for record keeping). Then, once I started doing the daily routine I decided it would be better to use the bank on the way to work, instead of the one on the other side of town. Unfortunately the bank on the way to work is a different companny than the account so we were paying a 2 dollar charge to use the ATM every time. (Mistakes number 2 and 3) Then the other day I withdraw from this old model ATM and leave the companny card in the machine. (thats 4) I don't realize it utill late that night when I go to make the deposit and I decide not to tell any one but rather think I will fix it on my own. (A brilliant 5th hole jim). I get to the bank and they show me the card, tell me they "destroyed" it, and say the couldent give it to me even if they wanted to because its a business card, and we don't have an account with their bank. (Can we stop counting yet) All this causes my boss an hour of his time on the phone trying to straiten the whole thing out. A

And that my friends is seven degrees of retardation.

Wreked coolers, forgotton batteries, lost hats, the list goes on and on. If I wern't leaving in a few days I probably would have been fired weeks ago. And I wouldn't blame them. But I am starting to get depressed so I will stop. I feel like the Scarecrow from the wizard of ozz. If I only had a brain....
